Pathways provides tailored academic programs and services. We have been a WSIB approved provider for 15 years and we are listed as a private school on the Ministry of Education website (BSID Numbers 669660 and 889191.)
What do we offer?
•Quality Education: We provide expert instruction in a warm and welcoming learning environment characterized by small class size and individual instruction.
•Small Class Sizes: Our teacher to student class ratio is maximum 1:5. As a rule our classes are small and orderly, and average at about 4 students.
•Dedicated Education Professionals: We have a dynamic team of experienced teachers who have worked with people from all walks of life, both locally and abroad. All of our teachers are certified members of the Ontario College of Teachers with additional qualifications in ESL.
•Flexible Schedules: Depending on availability, students can choose to attend morning or afternoon classes.
•Affordable Fees: Our course fees are very competitive and can be paid in installments.
•Fast Track Focused Study Plans: Our four-term system provides students with the advantage of being able to begin or graduate four times each year. Each term is nine weeks long, during which our students focus exclusively on one or two courses at a time (2 maximum).
•Continuous Intake: Students can start classes anytime.
•Complimentary Assessments: Funding agencies can contact us to schedule free academic assessments.
•Quiet Room: A small room with comfortable seating and telephone is available for student use.
•Ergonomic Aids: Pathways has a range of ergonomic aids on hand for student use (listed on page 40)
•Conveniently Located: Pathways is conveniently located at street level with free parking.
•Amenities: Restaurants and other shops are located within close proximity of the school.
•On a bus route: Bus stops are located directly across the street from our offices. (Kit: 3, 8, 11, 22) (G: 2, 20)
•Free Parking: Free Parking is available at both locations.
•Lunchroom: A lunchroom equipped with refrigerator, microwave, toaster, kettle, and table and chairs
•Coffee/Tea: Complimentary coffee and tea available for students, staff, and visitors.
•Technology: Students have access to current technology, e.g. iPads, desktop computers, laptops, fax machines, laser printers, and photocopiers. Students are introduced to Microsoft 365, an online subscription that provides students with full access to the most current version of Microsoft Office.
•Email & Cloud Storage: As well, students are walked through the process of setting up a Gmail account and shown how to use Google Drive, a safe and secure cloud service which provides students with 15GB of free online storage for their documents. Students are then able to store, share, and access their documents from anywhere.
•Assistive Technology: A range of assistive technology is available to students including, touch screens, voice recognition, screen readers, text-to-speech, screen enlargement, onscreen keyboards.
•Summer Classes: Students can upgrade their skills over the summer.
